13th SAARC Summit

Today I am here to share my views on SAARC Summit going on in Bangladesh. . . . . .

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives Originated a regional organisation named South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), whose 13th summit is currently being going on in Dhaka, the Capital of Bangladesh.

This Institution is playing a great role in bringing together all these countries on a single stage inspite of there lots of differences. It provides huge socio-economic opportunities to all its member countries to enhance their resources by bringing them all together. All the member countries of SAARC are developing countries, struggling for the better future of their people, with their limited resources, against the widespread devastating challenges caused by Globalised market in their own worlds. The possibilities, opportunities and most the resources would increase by many more time if these neighbours come together. The main thing is that these neighbours have to build mutual confidence in themselves.

The lack of democracy and unequal participation of developing nations in United Nation could only be overcome by strengthening these type of regional organisations only. The European Union has put forward the best example of its kind, is a very much regional structure in the sense. The same currency, invisible border, mutual socio-economic relations and all other supporting joint-measures grown in between the European Countries would always remain a roll-model for all other regional Organisations.

The role of India in to reapply such thing in the SAARC is quite Important. It is not only the biggest one in the region but with its plenty of resources is the most powerful part of it. It has to serve the the role of Big Brother in the region. The SAARC nations also have to fight against the challenges forwarded by Poverty, Starvation, Population, AIDS, Terrorism, Extremism, Brain Drain, Corruption, Community health, Natural Disasters and many more other unnamed challenging concerns. They thus have to come together on same platform as a need of time nevertheless of all baseless differences.

The SAARC is gaining its popularity as the newly independent Afghanistan wants to be its member and China too showing its interest to get together as an observer. This is welcomed by the whole Originating members. Making Afghanistan a member nation is a good brotherly proposal by India. This completes the membership of whole the Indian-Subcontinental in the Association. This would open a window of opportunities for Afghanistan as well as strengthens the SAARC with founding members of SAARC.

UNION IS STRENGTH, the moral of a famous fairy tale is needed to be considered by the diplomats and politicians of the region while building their mutual relations...
