Appeal to All Knowledgeable Voters of Punjab

This is a message to all Knowledgeable Voters of Punjab who are going to cast their votes in General Election for the Legislative Assembly of the state by 13 Feb, 2007, above of any kind of party-line just to raise some points, which are necessarily to be kept in mind, while using our right:

1) Don't go by just any Political Party for sake your parents, spouse, or friend(s) say so, it must be your independent decision as you are going to decide your fate for next five odd years. Even according to the Constitution of India, the use of voting under any kind of pressure or pressurizing anyone for same, both are illegal.

2) While going to vote for some specific person or party you read his/her/its manifesto for elections, that what would be offered to you on the selection of particular candidate. Keep in mind while voting that who is ensuring about:
(i) Concrete plans to provide jobs to youth in the state (As more than 27 Lakh youths have left unemployed in Punjab today).
(ii) Solid Measures to control over inflation (As the price of essential commodities has touched the sky-limits and its still rising).
(iii) Real time planning to enshrine the fate of agriculture in state supported with research, tested scientific methodologies and economic and political willpower (As the peasantry has no longer remained profitable for more than 60% of the total population of the state, which depends on it for its livelihood).
(iv) Essential measures to restore the industrial investments and attract more projects within the periphery of the state with backing of strong infrastructure development (As not only the Punjab lags behind in new investments but also the present industry is going out of state).
(v) Strong Practical Implementations to improve the basic education system of the state (As the present education system practically stands nowhere in competition with the standards of current global world).
(vi) Some reasonable schemes to preserve and improve the state of continuously downgrading small scale industry of the state which is getting de-rooted from the state against the competition provided by global market (As most of the secured industrial employment is being generated in the small scale industry and its patronization is must for complete social prosperity).
(vii) Measures to curtail the environmental degradation in the state (As these days when research has shown that the irresponsible human activities has started nearly irreversible process of global warming which could vanish the whole human race from the planet in near future, it has become necessary that we have some definite strategies for the future at local level too).

3) Don’t get lured in fake promises of the politicians, try to ensure the concrete methodology and reserved economic resources for actualization of verbal commitments.

4) Above all, you can't run out from the responsibility of taking participation in ballot even if you don’t find any suitable candidate that meets your criteria, as this kind of extremely erroneous attitude lead to absolutely immoral and really unwanted people to come in power, whose policies you have to bear for coming 5 years.

So please do visit your election booth by 13th Feb. and use very wisely, the biggest arsenal provided to you in the democratic India....
